Day 43
I see a wall, a white brick wall...
So clean yet rough, so bleak yet tough.
Staring at it makes me ponder about the exploration of life,
what it has brought and bared me to face.
Cruel thoughts flowed in as constant reminder of failure
and living up to expectations overcome me.
Brushing it off I then scrutinize the wall,
finding cracks and bumps.
This brought be back to think about it...
The little imperfection we all have,
hoping no one would notice.
It's unfair for those prominent ones,
The thought of it pains me to know.
How could something so innocent invoke such thought
but at the same time looking at it gave me a sense of comfort and hope.
Knowing that it is strong and can stand by itself
bracing and standing firm. That's faith.
That is what saw in the white brick wall.

Sushi
Talking about pampering your taste buds and trying something new at the same time, I would definitely recommend you the Shiok Maki. Given the name you would already imagine something mouth watering and scrumptious.
It is an maki made up of avocado, unagi and aburi salmon, drenched with the most amazing cheesy sauce that is seemingly a legit mixture of mayo and mentai, and completed with a generous topping of tobiko. Sounds tempting already? The first bite of it will totally change your perspective about shushi, it is still firm yet soft when you bite into it. The cheese will instantly melt in your mouth and with it's perfect blend of ingredients that coherent so well you'll feel an explosion of flavours in your mouth which is so heavenly you would have to get another bite just to savour the 'shiok' feeling again.
The Shiok Maki is hands down one of the best things I’ve ever had in life and believe me you definitely will want to try this at least once. I won't be surprise if you go back for more cause i'm certainly going. This is indubitably a place for a quick fix of Japanese food in between shopping around Orchard Road but try to avoid during peak period as there is usually a long queue for sittings due to the limited amount of tables they provide.

Advertising changes the perception of everything, making everything seem better. You can manufacture any feeling you want into the advertisement and the viewers can either relate or reflect towards it. It sort of changes the world and people accept it as it creates an atmosphere they feel comfortable or wished that their life's would be. As there are many advertisements out there, its very hard to stand out from the rest and reach out as many viewer as possible due to the fast moving environment we're in.
As time goes by, people attention span gets shorter. So to grab the viewer, one must be able to either keep it short or exuberance. Most advertisement tries to sell its brand by making a interesting commercial but it is easy to be cynical. For example, coming up with theatrical experience as consumers love seeing fun ideas or something seemingly outrageous but most importantly communicate, finding the core and make it interesting. As I believe connecting people, making them feel recognised will impact their judgment towards the brand. Great advertisement starts from something true and if you can invoke something evocative you can connect to the society and they can understand what are you trying to say be it introducing a product or sending a message.
Behind every successful advertisements or commercials are the great visionaries of this industry. Be it if they're are copy writers or art directors. They are the creative people who are not afraid to take a jump, always wanting to prove something. That being said, creating something good yet convict the client to buy to show to the consumer to see is something very challenging as the client might question your work or even dictate on how it should be. With that, facing both the client and consumer making them contented with what you have is never enough. Therefore they need to come up with something big to stun or capture the audience and the clients attention.
Ending with this, I believe you cannot ignore the people who want to change the world as they will be out there somewhere trying to prove you wrong.
